"Michael Hyde made his debut on December 25, 1949 possessing a beautiful pair of lungs and lots of musical karma to work with. He started playing piano at the age of six, and has had ten years of classical instruction.
Not one to be bent by convention or compromise, he still insists on playing by ear and composing through sheer natural talent. By the time he was fourteen, he was already touring with a Rock & Roll band on the Detroit Chicago circuit. It became apparent that Mike was on his way to establish himself in music.

Not long afterward, he found himself in the midst of a Rock & Roll tune during a talent show in a country music palace. The cowboys must have liked his smile, because he won first prize--a record of his own song. With his new 45 in one arm and his guitar in the other, he set off for Nashville and did session work as a musician. At sixteen, slowly comprehending the vastness of his undertaking, he began to mold his own place in music, which can only be described as a soft acoustic rock/jazz. For the past eight years, his energies have been directed toward perfecting his writing abilities. Leaning heavily on acoustic guitar and piano, he has branched out into electric piano & guitar, banjo, flute and fiddle."

Michael passed away on May 14th, 2020 after a long battle with health issues. He is survived by his children and widow who wish to share his music with people, as he intended.
